Governance in Nigeria, in spite of the back to back civilian transition from 1999 till date remains far off from what Nigerians had expected it to be. In the 14 years of the present democratic dispensation, the longest the nation had witnessed since independence, credence had been given to the political class for ensuring the sustenance of democratic governance. However, while the ruling political class may lay credence to having been the longest ruling political party under the democratic dispensation from 1999 to date, the general view by Nigerians is that there is still much needed to be done by government in critical areas of our national life.
