After his inauguration on Monday, he started withdrawing the US from the World Health Organisation and the Paris Climate Agreement. He has also declared a national emergency at the southern border.
Never shy of controversies, his inaugural speech spoke about a new America that was more concerned about its people and territories. He followed that by signing executive orders to change policy direction and set the mode for what he called Make America Great Again.
He rescinded 78 of Biden’s executive orders, which he deemed to be harmful. President Trump also announced the US withdrawal from the World Health Organisation. He also announced the country’s withdrawal from the Paris Agreement effective immediately. “This is about putting America first in all international environmental agreements.”.
