Versatile reporter with the Nigeria Democratic Report (NDR), Olusola Oludiran, is one of the 2023 recipients of the Africa Foundation for Young Media Professionals (AFYMP) in the Disability and Inclusion of the Media Fellowship.

A project supported by MacArthur Foundation, the fellowship program strengthens and empowers young media professionals in Africa on how to further expand their horizons for better journalistic engagements in fact-check, inclusivity and media entrepreneurship.

The six-month fellowship is scheduled to begin with a two-day in-person training which will be held in Lagos, Abuja, PortHarcourt and Ibadan starting from July 5th, 2023.

The selected fellows have the opportunity to choose the nearest location to them, with those outside the shores of the country permitted to participate in the training virtually.

According to the notification letter signed by Oladunjoye Busola, the AFYMP program manager, and sent to the NDR reporter, the training will be conducted in batches and segments.

The letter partly reads “I am pleased to inform you that you have been selected for our 2023 Disability and Inclusion in the Media Fellowship, organised by Africa Foundation for Young Media Professionals. The venue for in-person participants will be communicated to those who accept this offer”.
