The charters are the result of a project, strengthening citizens Engagement in Electoral process (SCEEP), Implemented by IPC with the support of ACTIONAID and UKAID from the Department for international Development. The launching which held at the council of Lagos mainland LGA, oyingbo Lagos had Adeola Soetan, National coordinator, Democracy vanguard as the guest speaker, and his key note address was aptly titled Enhancing Grassroots Development: integrating Community Stakeholders in Governance.
Also in attendance were the Executive Secretary, Lagos Mainland LGA, Hon. Mrs. Essien Rashidah Omolola, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State on community Development, Alhaji Tajudeen Adeniyi Quadri, Director of IPC Mr. Lanre Arogundade, Damilola Babalola of UKAID/DFID and Vanessa Edhebru of ACTION AID.
