The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Governor Abdullahi Sule, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the winner of the governorship election in Nasarawa State. According to INEC State Collation and Returning Officer, Mr. Ishaya Tanko, the APC candidate polled a total of 347,209 votes to defeat his closest opponent Dr.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Governor Abdullahi Sule, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the winner of the governorship election in Nasarawa State.
According to INEC State Collation and Returning Officer, Mr. Ishaya Tanko, the APC candidate polled a total of 347,209 votes to defeat his closest opponent Dr. David Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who secured 283,016 votes.
Candidate of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) Mr. Abdullahi Maidoya came third with 11,726 votes, while that of Social Democratic Party, (SDP) Mr. Mohammed Alfa Nyas scored 9003 votes.
The APC governorship candidate won in 11 out of the 13 local government areas of the state.
The state collation officer said the total number of registered voters was 1,899,244, while the number of accredited voters was 668,978
Ahmed Aliyu of APC Clinches Sokoto State
The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ahmed Aliyu, has been winner of the governorship contest in Sokoto State. He polled 453,661 votes to defeat his closest rival and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Saidu Umar, who polled 404,632.
Mr Aliyu, an ally of a former governor of Sokoto State and sitting senator, Aliyu Wamakko, was the deputy to Governor Aminu Tambuwal during his first tenure between 2015 and 2019.

Bala Mohammed Wins Another Term in Bauchi Defeats APC Rival
Governor Bala Mohammed the PDP candidate in the Bauchi governorship election defeated all other candidates to win another term of four years as Governor of Bauch state. He polled 525,280 to trounce his closest rival and APC candidate, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar who polled 432,272.
Governor Bala Mohammed is one of 11 serving governors seeking re-election as governors in the 2023 electons.
